Our
History
Inspired by a dream, we began reforesting former pasturelands. With the support of volunteers from around the world and the natural regeneration of the soil, we have successfully restored 110 hectares of forest. These, along with 60 hectares of primary forest, now make up the Huasquila Reserve.
OUR
Commitment
Thanks to the successful regeneration of our forest, we enjoy wildlife like monkeys or armadillos visiting, who find refuge in our locality. Motivated by this result, we remain committed to contributing to the regeneration of the Amazon.
We have expanded our work to environmental education for children, collaborations with the surrounding communities and working hand in hand with several institutions to expand our contribution on issues such as the carbon footprint or releasing wildlife.
Our Mission
To contribute to the conservation of the Amazon by implementing a model of environmental regeneration and inclusive ecotourism within our reserve.
Our Vision
Huasquila aims to be a leading model of inclusive ecotourism, offering accessible experiences while contributing to ecosystem restoration and cultural preservation.
PROJECTS
We are always working on new environmental regeneration projects. We started reforestation 15 years ago and recently released wildlife into our reserve. We seek to be a model that inspires others to replicate our efforts on a large scale.
Huasquila Amazon Lodge is a company dedicated to sustainable tourism and environmental conservation in the Ecuadorian Amazon. With the aim of protecting the forest and biodiversity of the region, the company has carried out a conservation and reforestation program for the last 15 years. Thanks to this program, the rainforest has been regenerated and today is home to a large amount of wildlife, including endangered species.
Huasquila’s commitment to conservation is not limited to reforestation and forest protection. The company has also expanded its work to environmental education for children, working with surrounding communities and collaborating with institutions to expand its contribution on issues such as wildlife release and carbon footprint.
Huasquila’s mission is to improve its environment by implementing a model of environmental regeneration and ecotourism in its reserve.
